Call for articles TRANS-Transcultural Music Review 2007

TRANS-Transcultural Music Review is an  international peer-reviewed on-line
journal published by the Society for Ethnomusicology (SIbE).

In preparation for the forthcoming edition of its 11th volume (2007), which
includes a monograph devoted to the study of African music (with unpublished
contributions by Ruth Stone, Kofi Agawu, Simha Arom and Willie Anku, among
others), the editors invites submission of unpublished articles related to
the topic of the monograph, that is, African music, broadly considered, for
its miscellanea section.  The editors specially welcome analytical or
ethnographic works that (re)consider the presence of African music in both
Latin America and  North America, in popular music, etc.

TRANS is also please to accept article proposals of any other subject and
book reviews that adjust to its editorial line.

Proposals should be submitted by email to simartinez at sibetrans.com before
September 30th, 2006. For further information on submission guidelines,
