The intro spiel reads: JMMS is an online, scholarly, peer-reviewed, 
interdisciplinary journal. JMMS seeks to be as inclusive as possible in 
its area of enquiry. Papers address the full spectrum of masculinities 
and sexualities, particularly those which are seldom heard. Similarly, 
JMMS addresses not only monotheistic religions and spiritualities but 
also Eastern, indigenous, new religious movements and other 
spiritualities which resist categorization. JMMS papers address 
historical and contemporary phenomena as well as speculative essays 
about future spiritualities.

Should anyone be working in this area, I’d be more than happy to 
consider any papers that deal with the way both masculinity and 
spirituality perform in EDMC, as well as intersecting scenes such as 
entheogens, Burning Man, New Edge, and so forth.

I’m a PhD student at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, but 
I live in a rural part of the lower South Island. Not a lot goes on down 
here, unfortunately. The last thing I got to was the winter solstice 
event out in Central Otago: it was minus seven degrees for most of the 
night, although sun-up was spectacular among the hoar frost and 
snow-capped mountains.
