Greetings everybody,

So I'm just writing to introduce myself to everyone. I went to the
University of Chicago for my undergraduate work, and now I am just
starting in the PhD program in anthropology at the University of
Pennsylvannia. Though I don't propose to make EDM a central feature of
my doctoral research, it occupies too much of my mind not to output in
some sort of written form along the way. I am quite starved for
intelligent conversation about it, so I am very much looking forward
to discussions on this list. In particular, I'm interested in the
organization of participant's discourse about it, and about the social
and institutional structures by which it maintains itself. I am a
psytrancer, and, like most psytrancers, really obsessed with
psytrance. In my case, particularly dark twisted stuff like that
coming out of the San Francisco and Russian scenes. I spent the winter
in Goa, I was out at Burning Man this summer, and I'm now dancing my
way along the NYC-Philly underground axis.
