Hi Charlie,
This sounds like interesting stuff, but I'm not sure exactly what you
mean by
"party process" - I've been writing about swing dancers and their
dances, DJing and music, with a fair bit of emphasis on how DJs
manipulate energy and the 'vibe' at a dance (particularly at
exchanges where all-night dancing happens every night of a long
weekend) to keep people moving all night, and perhaps more
importantly, to develop a shared dance 'experience'.
But I know nothing about the sorts of scenes most of you guys are
working on - so could you explain 'party process' a little more, please?
BTW I read this list with interest, but rarely have anything
interesting to add. Particularly as swing dancers are notoriously
straighty-one-eighty. Lindy hop is such a physically and technically
demanding dance, most dancers don't drink and dance, let alone
experiment with other substances.
