[Not sure what this info is doing here, but.. if you must -- ]

Not all very good advice, considering that the eDonkey network is shut down
by the RIAA & P2P is highly inefficient compared to stealthy & encrypted
BitTorrent:

eDonkey (with others on the chopping block -- including the
used-to-be-underground-ex-IDM-list-P2P-network, Soulseek):

" The eDonkey2000 Network is no longer available.

If you steal music or movies, you are breaking the law.

Courts around the world -- including the United States Supreme Court --
have ruled that businesses and individuals can be prosecuted for illegal
downloading.

You are not anonymous when you illegally download copyrighted material.

Your IP address is [removed] and has been logged.

Respect the music, download legally."

    From the now-defunct website,

Not the place you want your IP.

Perhaps better included in this "activist toolkit" would be some Open Source
infos & some links to security services, such as free proxy, secure chat &
secure email, among other things. An anonymizer is useful these days too.

And what about cottage-industry software apps? There's no point in pitting
the FSF against M$ as the only players in town (nevermind the ultimately
petty FSF vs. OS debates, aka St. Stallman vs. Sir Torvald...). I use Mellel
& Bookends on the Mac to write and LaTEX (and its variants) is used the
world over for manuscripts with an eMacs shell (yah, that's Stallman's
baby).

As for Stallman, I saw him speak @ HOPE 06... he's one hairy hippy.
