Vijftig jaar Ruigoord, een levendig testament van kunst, vrijheid en gemeenschap. Het jubileum bracht een kleurrijk gezelschap samen, bestaande uit pioniers, kunstenaars en vrije geesten die gedurende deze vijf decennia de ziel van Ruigoord hebben gevormd.</span></p><p style="margin:0;font-size:15px;mso-line-height-alt:16.8px"> </p><p

<span style="font-size:15px;">Het jubileum was niet alleen een viering van het verleden, maar ook een vooruitblik op de toekomst. Vijftig jaar dienden als inspiratiebron voor een voortdurende reis van verbeelding, vrijheid en gemeenschap op Ruigoord. Samen hebben we ervoor gezorgd dat de magie van Ruigoord nog minstens 25 jaar zal voortduren. </span><span style="font-size:15px;">Laten we, gevoed door deze geschiedenis, doorgaan met het koesteren van dit unieke stukje paradijs.</span></p><p

Op 12 mei 2023 werd meteen de nieuwe Poort van Ruigoord in gebruik genomen door staatssecretaris Gunay Uslu. <span style="font-size:15px;">Met beiden werd onderweg een vrolijk bezoek gebracht aan het atelier van Elsje Stroetinga en Rob van Tour. De optocht in prachtige kostuums en met dansers en muzikanten had inmiddels de kerk bereikt. Daar hield Han Bakker, gewaardeerd adviseur van Ruigoord, een toespraakje waarmee het open atelierweekeinde Openbare Werken officieel werd geopend. En daarmee was ook het gehele jubileumprogramma aangevangen. Het jaar waarin Ruigoord begon aan een nieuwe periode van 50 jaar. Op naar de 100!

<span style="font-size:14px;">De laatste keer dat de burgemeester van Amsterdam in Ruigoord was, is inmiddels 12 jaar geleden. Eberhard van der Laan bezocht destijds het dorp. Hij sprak vol lof over het 'Ruigoordse denken' en sprak de hoop uit dat dit de ontwikkeling van de Haven van Amsterdam op positieve wijze zal beïnvloeden. Nu was het onze huidige burgemeester Femke Halsema die het dorp verblijdde met haar bezoek. Na een rondleiding over het terrein en een bezoek aan de Kerk, waar ze de muurschilderingen als één van de eerste bezoekers heeft kunnen aanschouwen, heeft ze in aanwezigheid van verschillende atelierhouders geluncht in de Salon om kennis te maken met de dragers van ons internationale cultureel erfgoed en de bakermat van de Amsterdamse Vrije Ruimte..</span>

Vurige Tongen 2023 betoverde Ruigoord met een rijk programma van diverse acts, waarbij ruim 400 kunstenaars het terrein vulden. Spinvis werd met eer overladen met de Ruigoord Trofee, het ontvangst was een symbolisch hoogtepunt. Het veelzijdige programma, verspreid over diverse podia, bood een rijke mix van betoverende performancexs en inspirerende workshops. In de Salon werden verhalen verteld en poëzie gedeeld, terwijl de Tipi en Yurt een speelveld werden voor creatieve expressie voor alle leeftijden. Het evenement belichaamde de geest van Ruigoord als een culturele vrijhaven, waar kunstenaars en bezoekers, ongeacht hun leeftijd, samenkwamen in een levendige viering van diversiteit en creativiteit.

Ons Solstice festival is al 25 jaar een terugkerend fenomeen in de Ruigoordse zomerfestivals. Het was dan ook een bijzonder mooi moment om voor het eerst de Ruigoordse Hoogvlakte te openen voor het publiek. <span style="font-size:15px;">Afgelopen jaar hebben we de groene kunstroute <em>Ruigoord – Oase van Verwondering geopend. </em>Ruim 30 kunstprojecten zijn door heel Ruigoord te ontdekken, bezoeken en beklimmen. In het meertje tussen de ateliers kronkelt het waterwezen <em>Hydra,</em> van kunstenaar <em>Zoro Feigl</em>. De kerk kreeg een metamorfose. Ze werd van binnen beschilderd door <em>Gijs Frieling</em> en verrijkt met een aantal vruchtbaarheidsbeelden van <em>Femmy Otten</em>. Op het nieuwe festivalterrein verrees een nieuwe Artist Residency door Atelier Van Lieshout met een ondergrondse schuilkelder. Een wandeling door Ruigoord brengt je langs nog tientallen andere bijzondere kunstprojecten, waarvan een 10-tal van kunstenaars die atelierhouder zijn op Ruigoord.</span>

<span style="font-size:15px;"><a href="https://eds5.mailcamp.nl/url.php?subid=5v8m87z7gy32&nstatid=68x4wx97j&info=n9w3d0v&L=17321&F=H" target="_blank" style="text-decoration: underline; color: #ff9700;" rel="noopener"><strong>De Oase van Verwondering werd uitgelicht in een uitzending van AVRO NUTEZIEN</strong></a>, dit zorgde ook dit najaar voor dagelijks veel bezoekers aan Ruigoord. Iedere zondag organiseren we rondleidingen door Ruigoord, haar geschiedenis en de kunstprojecten. Ruigoord is in zekere zin al 50 jaar de proeftuin voor groene projecten en het Symbioceen. Milieufilosoof Glenn Albrecht die afgelopen zomer de keynote spreker op het Ruigoord Symposium was, bedacht de term voor het Symbioceen. Een tijdperk waarin mens, natuur en technologie met elkaar een nieuwe balans creëren, om het huidige tijdperk (met de menselijke impact) het antropoceen op te volgen. Ruigoord blijft gesitueerd in het hart van haven en industrie actief als laboratorium voor pionierend anders denken en doen. </span><span style="font-size:15px;">In 2024 zal Oase van Verwondering weer een aantal nieuwe kunstprojecten krijgen en werken we samen met <em>Snowapple</em> en <em>RE_NATURE Festival voor kunst en natuur</em>.</span>

Dit jaar was de Beeldenroute van Landjuweel opnieuw het middelpunt van het festival. Om 23:00u opende Davi's met een indrukwekkende performance op het hoofdpodium. In tegenstelling tot andere jaren volgden we de route tegen de klok in richting de dijk.</p><p style="margin:0;mso-line-height-alt:16.8px"> </p><p style="margin:0;mso-line-height-alt:16.8px">
De route weerspiegelde dit jaar de rijke geschiedenis van Ruigoord, de unieke sfeer en stonden we ook stil bij de toekomst. Zo kwamen de bezoekers langs de “Plofzone” waar we vierden dat Ruigoord nog 25 jaar door mag. Bezoekers biechtten daar zonden op voor het vloeibare sacrament uit de gasgekoelde tank en proostten op een levendige toekomst in de kerk. We passeerden ook "Corpus Acrobatics" waar een Ei / OVO het symbool was voor de oer van het leven en creativiteit. De acrobate werd uit een reusachtig ei geboren en onderging een metamorfose van oervogel naar vogelmens. Dit symboliseerde het ontstaan van creatie, vergelijkbaar met Ruigoord als broedplaats voor makers. Onderweg kwamen we langs kunstenaars zoals de Beeldjutters, Nebulist, La bastarda compagnie, Spinsekt, Electric Circus, Ethernal Rythm en vele Ruigoordse kunstenaars. Een bonte tocht, aangetrokken door de zappelin die fonkelde in de nacht.

Begin juli was Ruigoord omgetoverd tot LaLaLand - the Magic of India. En de temperaturen liepen op. Want het weekend zat vol prachtige Indiase muziek, dans, theater, film, comedy, spoken word en meer. Families genoten van de diverse voorstellingen en de veelzijdigheid aan optredens. En natuurlijk van het uitgebreide yoga programma, het heerlijke eten, het tropische weer en de Indiase sfeer.</p><p style="margin:0;text-align:right;mso-line-height-alt:16.8px"> </p><p

We weten zeker dat ook Felix intens genoten heeft vanuit de wereld waar hij nu is. Volgend jaar weer! Nieuwe bezoekers van het Ballonnenfestijn denken vaak dat de naam te maken heeft met de ballonnetjes met joints eraan, die de hele nacht op de feestgangers neerdalen. Een vergissing, want deze naam verwijst naar het Amsterdams Ballon Gezelschap anno 1972. Een bonte groep creatieve geesten, met wortels in de revolutionaire jaren 60. Het doel: festivals en happenings organiseren in de geest van de homo ludens (De Spelende Mens). Het <a style="text-decoration: underline; color: #ff0083;" tabindex="-1"></a>Amsterdams Ballon Gezelschap wil de stem van “Magies Sentrum Amsterdam” levend houden. Daarvoor is Ruigoord een ideale plek gebleken. Onze culturele vrijhaven heeft het ABG liefdevol opgenomen. Sinds begin jaren 80 organiseren wij ieder jaar op 28 december een spectaculair ritueel In Paradiso. Elk jaar een statement over een prangend onderwerp, van Zero-intolerance tot Uitburgering, van 50 jaar atoombom tot de Werkelijke loosheid.

De dood van onze onvolprezen Rudolph was natuurlijk een slag, maar tot onze grote vreugde Is de belangstelling van oude en nieuwe Ballonhappeners groter dan ooit. De energie is adembenemend. Het onderwerp was ditmaal: Natuurlijke Intelligentie en kunstmatige intelligentie boeit tientallen kunstenaars, die deze mega-happening vorm gaan geven. Het is een bijna legendarisch ritueel dat steeds weer aantoont de vrije creatieve geest levend en wel is. <br>
