::fibreculture:: Query: the digital divide?

Dear fibreculture colleagues,
Can anyone point me to the current state of theory / writing on the issue of
the digital divide? I am working on a project with a colleague on digital
identities and access is a compelling issue which we'd like to address. Any
suggestions would be most welcome. I'll send a compiled list of suggestions
to the list once responses have come in (she says optimistically!).
