PhD Scholarship: Safe and Well Online

Want to explore ways for social communications to enhance young people's safety and wellbeing? The Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) at the University of Western Sydney is seeking a high-calibre doctoral candidate to undertake a research project in conjunction with the Young and Well CRC. The candidate will be part of a team undertaking a major five year project - Safe and Well Online: Researching social communications in the promotion of young people's safety and wellbeing.
 
As a member of the research team the candidate will undertake a project examining a dimension of young people's social communications practices pertinent to the Safe and Well Online project. The following themes are of specific interest:
	• Young people, citizenship and social media.
	• Knowledge brokering and translation: the role of cross-sector, multi-partner research in an era of network governance.
	• The role of gender focusing on young men, social media and help seeking.
