Subject: BAFTSS Membership Drive

 

Dear all,

 

I would like to alert you that the British Association for Film, Television
and Screen Studies (BAFTSS)) is now actively recruiting members.
Introductory membership for 2012 is set at £10 for individual academics and
£5 for PhD students and unwaged. 

 

Launching BAFTSS is a project of crucial importance for all those of us
engaged in the field of Film, Television and Screen studies as we need to
work together to ensure better recognition and visibility of the field. In
this context, it is extremely important that people take up membership.
Until this is formally done, we cannot engage in any activities, as we do
not 'represent' anyone unless people have formally joined. It is only after
you have 'voted' for the organisation by taking up membership that we can
undertake all the wonderful activities that we have planned.

 

I would greatly appreciate it if you considered taking up membership soon.
