Dear all,

I would like to inform you about the publication of "Cine Thessaloniki:
Stories from the city and the cinema" (Thessaloniki: University Studio
Press),
a new book on the cinematic history of Thessaloniki, which I co-edited
together with the film critic Yannis Grosdanis.
One of the four parts of the books is dedicated to the history of the
Thessaloniki International Film Festival, as well as the Thessaloniki
Documentary Film Festival,
with 5 essays by Nikos Grosdanis-journalist/writer (Greece), Lefteris
Adamidis -film critic (Greece), Thomas Linaras-film critic (Greece), Toby
Lee -cultural anthropologist (USA), Dr Aida Vallejo Vallejo - film
historian (Spain),
commenting on the evolution of the film festival and its connection to the
cinephile audiences, the filmmakers, the relation between music and film
festivals, the documentary tradition and the local film culture.

The book is published in Greek, but it is likely to have an English
version, enriched with essays by other foreign contributors, interested in
Thessaloniki, its Film Festivals and the city's cinematic history.

Should anyone need any additional information on the publication, please
contact me.

Best regards,
Angeliki (Lina) Milonaki
