[Filmfestivalresearch] Updates to the Chinese Film Festival Studies website

Dear List Members,

We have another brief round-up notice detailing updates to the Chinese Film Festival Studies website (www.chinesefilmfeststudies.org). In the past couple of months, we’ve added the following material:

NEWS: James Mudge, of the Chinese Visual Festival in London, was a guest at the Beijing Independent Film Festival back in August. He wrote a piece on the festival for Eastern Kicks, the specialist East Asian Film site, which we have linked to from our site.

FESTIVAL REPORTS: We have a new report from Markus Nornes (University of  Michigan) on the Taiwan International Documentary  Festival, which took place in Taipei in October. This is accompanied by a selection of photographs of the event.

FORTHCOMING: Over the next few months we hope to post reports from both this year’s Festival Shadows in Paris – France’s major film festival focusing on Chinese independent cinema – and from the 2014 Guangxi International Ethnographic Film Festival, which is currently taking place in Nanning, Guangxi.
