[Filmfestivalresearch] Animate Dubai: Call for submissions

Dear Sir/Madam,

Animate Dubai is the Arabian Gulf's first ever international Animation Film
Festival and the newest one in the whole Arab world.

The festival will take place from the *22nd to the 25th of April 2015 *and
is to be one of the region's most innovative platforms with the objective
of leveraging local talent and the animation industry. International and
Arab animation shorts and features will be screened​, with 5 competitions​
(Arab shorts, Arab student shorts, International shorts, International
student short and a pitch competition for Arab animation projects).


Visitors can expect a series of internationally accredited
workshops, seminars and expert-led panel discussions that will educate and
engage an audience of all ages and animation experience levels. ​​

Animate Dubai has also an animation film market that will host different
funding bodies, cultural institutes, film festivals, and universities
alongside with production companies and studios. Alongside with several
panels on financing and producing animation in the Arab World and
networking sessions.
