We are holding a one-hour live/online information event entitled MANAGING
AND CULTURAL CURATION IN GLOBAL FILM INDUSTRIES on 17th September at

The prestigious University of St Andrews in beautiful Scotland has paired
up with partners in Paris, Toronto and Hong Kong for this exciting new
educational offer from our the Institute for Global Cinema and Creative
Cultures. The presentations you will be able to hear on logging in will
cover information about the launch of our new MFA (Master of Fine Arts)
and PG Diploma in Global Cinema: Managing and Cultural Curation, which is
taught to a unique blended format, combining the advantages of
cosmopolitan travel and online flexibility, and allows for global
networking. You will be able to interact with the people involved in the
programme and ask questions.

 
It will also discuss several forthcoming residential sessions which are
available on CPD basis for continuous professional development purposes.
Each CPD module covers a different subject matter and featuring high
profile speakers and networking opportunities. In particular, we will
discuss  the following:

·      Europe as Hub for Global Cinema: Institutions, Policies, Venues at
Science Po, Paris 19th ­ 22nd October 2015 and featuring our faculty, as
well as Professor Laurent Creton, Xavier Lardoux (CNC) and producer
Marianne Slot.
·      North America: Cultural Industries, Parallel Circulation, Festivals
at Toronto International Film Festival HQ, Bell Lightbox, Toronto 23rd ­
26th November 2015, and featuring director Deepa Mehta and Toronto IFF's
founder and director Piers Handling.
·      Arthouse and Festival Programming at La Femis, Paris 18th ­ 21st
January 2016, and featuring leading figures from the sphere of film
festivals, TBC.
 

This will be an opportunity to hear from Prof. Dina Iordanova and from
renowned French critic Jean-Michel Frodon, who will be making a
presentation loaded with information about the exciting new programmes.
