Hi Aida:

Thanks for the extension!

Re. FFRN mailing list and website: of course you should post it! This is exactly why we have the mailing list! You can post a message and also the discount message to filmfestivalresearch at listcultures.org . If you send me a little text blurb, I can also put it on the FFRN website.

Re. the book: It would be great to get one at NECS. If it is easier that I order it directly from the publisher (do they have a discount code like Routledge did?) I can also do that and save you the baggage.

Best

Skadi

Dear Skadi,

Ok, you can submit if after Berlin, we will be arranging the final compilation by then.

As for the FFRN, I was actally going to ask you if I can put information about the book there
(by the way, the editor is not travelling to NECS, but offers me the possibility of taking some books with me for selling with discount, if you are interested I can take one, also please let me know if I can post this info in the FFRN newsletter or if it is too "promotional" to post it publicly.

Let me know ;)

Best,

Dear Aida (& Ezra):

Good to hear from you and congratulations on the happy and healthy baby boy!

Re. the Documentary Festivals book: Also, great to hear that this is moving forward. I am happy to have another dig at the chapter and add the workshop you suggested. However, I need to beg you for a slight extension. I am headed to Berlinale tomorrow and will only return on the 19th . During the festival there is no way I can do anything else, there are too many other meetings and projects running there… And going by the experience from the last few years, I will come back with a nasty cold, even though I just come out of one now. So, if we could say end of February, I will do my best to have the chapter amended by then.

Thanks also for the two chapters, this looks great! Don’t forget to send news through the FFRN mailing list and something I can post to the website, Facebook etc etc J

Looking forward to seeing you in Paris!

Cheers

Skadi

Dear Skadi,

How are you?

As you probably know I already had my baby (a small boy called Josu) and he is so quiet al calm that I can even write emails :)
Actually, that's important at this point, because as you know the documentary film festival book project has been pretty much delayed, but we are working hard these weeks to polish it and submit to Palgrave Macmillan.

I just sent you the final version of your chapter that we are submitting to palgrave in due course.

I think it would be important that you add a mention to the film festival pedagogy workshop (you can see here some notes I took as well as the audio: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_8KMXLgsBfBYmRQemRSNnktQmM).

Please, also update the references to recently appeared books (Kredell, de valck, loist and Vallejo and Peirano). By the way, our book is already finished!!! (uff it took a lot of effort, but we are very satisfied: http://www.cambridgescholars.com/film-festivals-and-anthropology). I am sending you attached the table of contents and the 2 chapters which can be of interest for your piece in the documentary festival book, but please, don't circulate, as it is just starting the promotional stage ;)

Let me know if you will be able to do this
and hope to see you in Paris!

Best wishes,
