Dear Film Festival Researchers,

 

Festivals have been recognised to play a vital role to promote films, reach
audiences and

foster young talent in the audiovisual industry. Cooperation between film
festivals can help 
them to fulfil these tasks and at the same time to master their numerous
challenges.

 

A research commissioned by the European Commission provides an overview of
the

diversity and multitude of collaboration models among European film
festivals. By means of a

differentiated analysis, it presents empirical findings on the strengths and
weaknesses of these 
models and those that have proven themselves on a broad basis over the long
term.
