This is a very good initiative. The list is long and I may not have read it as meticulously as one should, but I did not notice on it festivals such as Witches' Broom in Ankara (one of the best established) nor ONE WOMAN FILM FESTIVAL in Chengdu, China. Cheers

Hi, Maria,

Incredible resource. Thanks so much.

I wonder whether you may be able to add Glasgow Feminist Film Festival: https://femspectives.com/

Dear Marian

I think that La Mostra Internacional de Films de Dones in Catalunya which
has 28 editions is key among women's film festivals. Not sure if i found it
in the list:

Dear Patricia

Thank you so much for this addition and thank you to Antonio, too. I think
there used to be more Italian women's film festivals, but am always
delighted by Some Prefer Cake in Bologna and I'm very glad they're still
going.

I've added Cinema d'iDEA on Medium (
https://devt.medium.com/womens-film-festivals-around-the-world-update-f23c2773a84c),
with the same amount of information included for other festivals. I hope it
means that more people learn about each and every one.

Thanks again and with every good wish, Marian

Dear Marian,

I received yr mail and yr list by my friend Antonio. I have noticeed
with a kind of horror and bad emotion that Italy is not represented in yr
list.

Italy has given big cinema to the world and even with a lot of
difficulties, we have women Film Festival! Like mine, for instance . I
created from nothing, and without any help a Festival in 2016. Now the
Festival called Cinema d'iDEA has concluded its 4th edition. Due to Covid
this edition has been online.

Here's Festival's Homepage and the streaming Platform that hosted
Cinema d'iDEA . http://www.cinemadidea.com

I am the Festival director but I am also a screenwriter and
director, so I really wanted to make this Festival because I know on my
skin which and how many are the difficulties for a woman and for her films
to be made and seen.
