Dear colleagues,
The deadline for submitting papers, panels and workshop to the NECS 2025 conference in Lisbon, Portugal (18-21 June 2025) is approaching (January 31st).
This is a reminder that you can make use of the pre-call of the NECS Film festival research workgroup.
Pre-call for film festival research submissions
You can submit your paper proposal to m.devalck at uu.nl<mailto:m.devalck at uu.nl> by January 26th. We will form pre-constituted panels.
If you have a formed your own pre-constituted panel on film festival research, please let us know and we will include it in the work group sponsorships. This way we can facilitate visibility of film festival research the event.
For your paper/panel you are free to either align with the conference thematic focus on navigation, discovery and journey or present recent work / ongoing projects.
Important information
All submission should include your name, email address, the title of the paper, an abstract (max. 300 words), key references (max. 200 words), and a short bio (max. 150 words).
There is no conference fee, however, kindly note that the submission form is only accessible to NECS members with a valid membership. Every author of paper, panel and workshop proposals is required to be NECS members.
Conference participants may only serve in a maximum of two capacities, e.g. deliver a paper and serve as a chair of another panel. For more detailed information about the conference, the full call for papers, and updates, please visit the official NECS conference page: https://necs.org/conference.
