<p>Well... clearly, what is going on these days is all very much related to human rights. We recognise the importance of a dynamic civil society that advocates for human rights during and after the pandemic. Therefore we continue to support film screenings and debates about the protection of human rights worldwide. Because now is the time!</p></font>

<font size="2" color="#000000" style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px; "><p>To promote the screenings of human rights cinema worldwide, Movies that Matter offers grants to human rights film events, especially in countries with limited resources and freedom of press. We are happy to announce our support to <a href="http://www.moviesthatmatter.nl/english_index/international/support_programme/supported_projects/supported-projects-2020?utm_medium=email&utm_source=nieuwsbrief-international&utm_campaign=juli" target="_blank" data-system-id="33564.33542.0">11 inspiring projects</a>. Faced with the limitations and challenges that physical events currently encounter, several of our newly supported projects embrace the possibilities that online platforms offer to screen films on human rights.</p>
<p>The Colombian project <strong>Films for Human Rights</strong> is supported to develop a digital platform for watching human rights films in Latin America. At the same time in Serbia, the <strong>Free Zone Belgrade Film Festival</strong> is launching its VOD platform “Free Zone Online”. The annual <strong>Active Vista International Human Rights Film Festival</strong> in the Philippines will be held online this year. The same goes for the 9th edition of <strong>MICGénero</strong>, a film festival dedicated to gender and human rights in Mexico.</p></font>
