> We would like to invite ASCA scholars as well as MA students to participate in the Radical Contemporary Thought reading group. The general idea is to reflect on contemporary renewals of the Leftist political project and to situate it in the history of radical thought.
> We will read and discuss some relevant contemporary critiques of capitalism (Antonio Negri/Michael Hardt, David Harvey, Mark Fisher, Jodi Dean, Stephen Gill - other proposals are welcome) and confront them with classical texts from the philosophical tradition (Spinoza, Marx).
> The reading group has the character of a workshop discussion and gives participating students the chance to present and discuss their current text
> projects.
>
> Interested? Contact Johan Hartle (J.F.Hartle at uva.nl) to be included in the mailing list.
