There has been discussion in justice departments to
give some of the money of fines and settlements back
to the victims.

Could this also be applied to criminal business practices?
And on a scale as well, could damage to the entire Earth also
be handled at the international level instead of countries?

If we consider the precedent of Volkswagen (and other automakers),
that a large part of the settlements would go to the ISA?

Hi all,

I don't remember how I came to locate this mailing list a few days ago, 
but I'm glad I subscribed. I felt a bit weird sharing my concerns about 
social networks (Facebook, Twitter) on another social network (Reddit). 
It's true that mailing lists are also social networks themselves, but 
here we are not being sold to anyone.

About this link:

I haven't read "Move Fast and Break Things", though it's on my list, and 
"Chaos Monkeys" is a very good read if one can ignore the tone of the 
writer, which sometimes is a bit over the top, but I here I want to do a 
small comment on the other title, "The Attention Merchants". This is 
where I first became exposed on the idea of "attention as a resource 
exploited by third parties". This brought me to the "right to attention" 
[1] and another treatment of the same topic with a different angle, "The 
World beyond your head" [2].

I'd be grateful if someone could provide more readings related to this 
topic.
