Vera and I met and collected some remarks and proposals, which could be
added to the conversations of the Amsterdam meeting (today .. sorry
we're a bit late, as one mail back and forth among us got lost).

some productive thoughts on the split conference:
- very good: vv as model of a nomadic conference
- what is it, that repeats itself under the name videovortex, how can it
develop?
- vv does not necessarily have to be a conference: format prevents open
exchange
- too many lectures, too dense programme, leave more space for discussions
- more discussion could be enabled by active moderators

ideas for videovortex brussels:
- consider the more open format of a barcamp / unconference / open space
- rethink and refresh Geerts ABCs of conferencing (published in
springerin 2004)
http://www.springerin.at/dyn/heft.php?id=41&pos=1&textid=1570&lang=en
- selection of presentations should be community-based. it can be
organised in a wiki
- art & theory could be linked stronger. enabling a discussion. maybe
thru a respondent scheme (both sides, artists response to theory,
theorist to art)

ideas for videovortex in general:
- Youtube - prsence for videovortex!!!
- steering committee's work should be transparent (wiki)
- inviting other interesting positions like f.ex. sebastian luetgert & jan
gerber- oxdb / padma archive
- planning on the long run (refers back to a conversation with dan oki
on the boat):
videovortex could work as a nomadic workshop/(un)conference, that can be
integrated with the schedule of universities or academies
