The Real-Time VJ Tools workshop is an open-collaborative environment in which participants will use their creative and technical backgrounds to develop an unrealized real-time audiovisual or VJ performance. Over the course of the three days, and under the guidance of the two instructors, the participants will be introduced to the live performance capabilities of softwares such as Resolume,Modul8, Ableton Live, and others. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to bring ideas for mixed media presentations utilizing cameras, still images, movement, web cameras, and any digital/analog techniques that will contribute to their project. On the final day of the workshop, participants will present a brief performance at an open event/exhibition during RETUNE CONFERENCE (Arena Glashaus)

WORKSHOP LEADERS
LUCAS GUTIERREZ

Digital Artist and Industrial Designer from Argentina. He has participated and exhibited his works in well known national and international festivals such as: Offf-Post-Digital Creation Culture (Lisbon), GET SET Art Festival 2012 (Porto), LPM – Live Performers Meeting 2013 (Rome), 180 CreativEcamp 2013 (Abrantes), Genius Loci (Weimar) and others.

KLAAS VON KARLOS

Jon-Carlos Evans is a Berlin based fIlmmaker, audiovisual artist and writer. Past international audiovisual performances included the RE/Mixed NYC Media Festival, Live Performers Meeting Rome, Dimanche Rouge Experimental Festival – Paris, After Dimanche Rouge, add Mashrome Film Festival, amongst others.


PARTICIPATION FEE
Good news! As managed to partly fund the workshop, we change the fees to: 
100 EURO (regular) and 60 EURO for students, FabLab and Berlinerpool members.

2 days with practical sessions will take place in BERLINERPOOL (Chausseestr 11, 10115 Berlin, entrance Tieckstraße) and the final presentation with live performance during RETUNE CONFERENCE / Arena Glashaus (Eichenstraße 4, 12435 Berlin).
