Jan Bot is a computer program that works day and night concocting experimental films that match early twentieth-century footage with current trending events. Everyday Jan Bot produces an average of 20 films, from which it publishes one on social media. You can follow Jan Bot on Instagram <https://www.instagram.com/janbotfilms/>, Twitter <https://twitter.com/janbotfilms> and Facebook <https://www.facebook.com/janbotfilms/> and get a daily doze algorithmic films.

The launch will consist of a presentation where Bram and I –Jan Bot’s creators– will share our experience of creating algorithmic films, and reflect on the meaning of archives in the current media landscape.
