PUBLIC RELATIONS & ADVERTISING
MEDIA PRODUCTION
CONTEMPORARY ART & CURATORIAL PRACTICES
DIGITAL CULTURE & MULTIMEDIA DESIGN
FINE ARTS
</pre><tt class="">Faculty duties for all positions will include independent and </tt><tt class="">collaborative research and practice; teaching at the graduate and </tt><tt class="">undergraduate levels; and supervision of student research.</tt><pre style="margin: 0em;" class=""></pre><tt class="">Successful candidates will be expected to maintaingiven to candidates </tt><tt class="">with a demonstrated research program capable of attracting external </tt><tt class="">funding. Meaningful professional experience in the field is particularly </tt><tt class="">desirable.</tt><pre style="margin: 0em;" class=""></pre><tt class="">Candidates will be evaluated according to theof commitment to teaching; </tt><tt class="">and strength of recommendations. The academic ranking for each </tt><tt class="">successful candidate will be commensurate with his/her prior academic </tt><tt class="">experience.</tt><pre style="margin: 0em;" class="">
FIELD-SPECIFIC INDICATIONS
</pre><tt class="">Public Applicants must hold a PhD in Mass Communication or a closely </tt><tt class="">related field by the date of appointment. Preference will be given to </tt><tt class="">candidates with teaching experience in professionally oriented courses </tt><tt class="">such as strategic communication campaigns, case studies, international </tt><tt class="">public relations, and professional writing for strategic communication.</tt><pre style="margin: 0em;" class=""></pre><tt class="">Media Production: Applicants must hold a PhD, or equivalent terminal </tt><tt class="">degree in Film, Media Arts, or a related field by the date of </tt><tt class="">appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and </tt><tt class="">practical experience in production areas such as studio television, </tt><tt class="">video and post-production, visual effects, animation, photography, and </tt><tt class="">multimedia.</tt><pre style="margin: 0em;" class=""></pre><tt class="">Contemporary Art & Curatorial Practices: Applicants must hold a PhD in </tt><tt class="">Art, Design, or a related field by the date of appointment. Preference </tt><tt class="">will be given to candidates with professional curatorial experience and </tt><tt class="">prior experience teaching courses in media arts, visual culture, </tt><tt class="">contemporary art and design, and similar fields.</tt><pre style="margin: 0em;" class=""></pre><tt class="">Digital Culture & Multimedia Design: Applicants must hold a PhD in Media </tt><tt class="">Design, Computer Engineering, Media Arts, or a related field by the date </tt><tt class="">of appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with professional </tt><tt class="">and prior teaching experience in digital cultures, human/computer </tt><tt class="">interaction, multimedia design, user centered design, user experience </tt><tt class="">(UX) design, and similar fields.</tt><pre style="margin: 0em;" class=""></pre><tt class="">Fine Arts: Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent terminal degree by </tt><tt class="">the date of appointment in any area of fine arts, including but not </tt><tt class="">limited to sculpture, painting, drawing, ceramics, and new media art. </tt><tt class="">Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience in </tt><tt class="">these areas as well as general courses in art history.</tt><pre style="margin: 0em;" class="">
