Part of the EU funded <strong>AV Node network</strong>, Splice brings together over 40 international artists to celebrate the diverse field of <strong>audiovisual performance</strong>, including <strong>live cinema</strong>, <strong>AV remixing</strong>, <strong>VJing</strong>, <strong>video art</strong> and projection mapping. This year sees another diverse programme with headline act <strong>Coldcut</strong>, Award-winning <strong>Mira Calix</strong> and <strong>DJ Food</strong> among the performers alongside a host of educational talks, networking and satellite events.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;color: #606060;font-family: Helvetica;font-size: 15px;line-height: 150%;">PERFORMANCES: <strong>Ninja Tune</strong> founders and ground-breaking AV pioneers <strong>Coldcut</strong> return in their 30th anniversary year to headline Splice with their brand new AV show. Multi award-winning composer <strong>Mira Calix (Warp Records)</strong> presents a special DJ/VJ set inspired by Josef Albers experiments with colour. Turntablist <strong>DJ Food</strong> performs his ‘Selected Aphex Works’ AV set, plus a rare live performance from the American godfathers of AV remixing – <strong>Emergency Broadcast Network (EBN)</strong> in their first appearance in over a decade. Multimedia duo Filastine & Nova present their provocative new future bass show ‘Drapetomania’, designed to undermine borders and strike against xenophobia. French visionaries <strong>1024 Architecture</strong> perform ‘Recession’ – a journey through what’s left of our civilisation. <strong>Zan Lyons</strong> fuses live viola looping with distorted beats and real-time remixing of his own films. <strong>Urban Projections</strong> unveil the World Premiere of their new show ‘Stratum’ mixing environmental recordings, electronic beats and geometric abstraction. Colombian artist<strong> Optika – Laura Ramirez</strong> performs ‘Singularity’. Budapest based band <strong>Mïus x Attaray Visual</strong> close the festival with their poetic journey into a timeless microcosmos of darkness and light.</p>

European partner event, <strong>Athens Digital Arts Festival</strong> present a screening programme entitled #PostFuture.</p>
