<p>On the 15th & 16th July MINA, the Mobile Innovation Network Australasia will run a Smartphone Filmmaking and Social Media Content Production workshop for creatives, community groups, organisations and anyone with a smartphone.</p>
<p>Award winning Filmmakers, Producers and Storytellers will facilitate the workshop: The first workshop day will be a general introduction and the second day a mentoring session. We will showcase the equipment filmmakers use for short and feature film productions. We will discuss creative processes in narrative, experimental and documentary mobile, smartphone and pocket camera films. This workshops aims to provide you with the technical and conceptual understanding necessary to produce a MINA International Mobile Innovation Screening submission. All participants will receive a copy of the Filmic Pro app and a complimentary ticket for the MINA screening at ACMI in October. For detailed information, workshop outline and booking see: </p>

<p>Submissions for the 7th MINA International Mobile Innovation Screening close end of July. So far we have received amazing mobile, smartphone and pocket films from around the world. In order to support emerging filmmakers we are extending the deadline for the NewVoices category for students and first-time filmmakers till 20th August 2017 via deadline weaver code: "newvoices2017". </p>
