Dear all,

My work on the birth and death of Bangkok International Film Festival
might be possible to be considered for this panel. Although it had
just emerged in the early 2000s, it might be a good example to study
the problem of a film festival in a country where the film culture was
still developing. We just had the ministry of culture almost about the
same year. With the lack of knowledge and understanding, film festival
become a tool for profit-taking and corruption. It can also tackle in
terms of film festival's relation to tourism, or nationalism and
postcolonialism argument raised by the locals as a tool to be against
the US-based programmers.

cheers,
Anchalee
