[Filmfestivalresearch] Film Festivals founded in the 1950s and 1960s

Dear all,

Does anyone have a list of (major) film festivals - esp. in Europe - that were set up in the (late) 1950s and (early) 1960s?

And/or some quantitative measure of the number of festivals established during these two decades.

I am trying to contextualise the emergence of the Thessaloniki IFF in 1960, and any such information would be helpful.
