March 31st International Transgender Day of Visibility

Dear Colleagues,

Inspiring news that the milestone book Trans New Wave Cinema is about to be released on April 22nd.

A virtual book launch (via Zoom) will be hosted the following week, on the last Wednesday in April (April 28th) 
 
Filmmakers, colleagues, friends and allies are invited to attend the launch, with details and an Eventbrite link to 
register to attend (free to attend) below. The Eventbrite link will be live for registrations from March 31st, to coincide 
with International Day of Transgender Visibility. Please feel welcome to circulate this information through your 
GLBTIQ, filmmaking and academic networks as relevant.

Trans New Wave Cinema book launch! 

Welcoming filmmakers, colleagues, friends and allies to join in celebrating and discussing the timeliness of this  publication.

The book will be launched by Associate Professor Elizabeth Stephens, ARC Future Fellow and Associate Professor of Cultural Studies, 
University of Queensland; with a Q & A discussion with the author Dr. Akkadia Ford and participants to follow.

As a courtesy reminder, the launch will be held online on Wednesday 28th April at 12.00PM (AEST Australia).

For friends and colleagues joining the launch from the USA or Canada: the day/time is Tuesday April 27th at 7.00 pm (Pacific Time, West Coast).
