Friday at the New Horizons
Meetings, exhibition openings, a night at the Festival Backyard and the start of Cinema at the Market Square.
The first festival weekend begins! For a good start, we’ll let the numbers speak: today we're looking forward to 57 screenings in cinemas (plus many more online) and 8 meetings featuring 12 filmmakers. At 22:00 tonight, we also invite you to the first event of Cinema at the Market Square: we will begin with a screening of Ruben Östlund’s Triangle of Sadness. Before that, we recommend two exhibition openings: at 18:00 Anna Mlasowsky: From Within at the SiC Gallery! of BWA Wroclaw, while at 20:00 Avec Plasir at the BWA Studio gallery. We also encourage you to visit IP Studio, which will feature the latest installment of Ambient Room (starting at 19:00). The first New Horizonian Friday is best finished at the Festival Backyard, where the duo Duszne Granie will be behind the console. Later in the evening, a dance show will begin at the Surowiec Club.

The art scene
The opening of the exhibition From Within, which corresponds to the themes presented in the Third Eye section, is scheduled to begin at 18:00 at the SiC gallery! of BWA. Anna Mlasowsky, who alternately explores geographic, cultural and sexual identities, uses glass as an intermediary in her work to explore (dis)belonging, otherness and disobedience. At 20:00, we invite you (with great pleasure!) to the BWA Studio gallery for the opening of the Avec Plasir exhibition, which merges with the film section of the same name and enters into dialogue with Alain Robbe-Grillet's retrospective.

Films mean emotions | check out the mBank zone at KNH
Putting together your private festival program can sometimes resemble a game of tetris. And so for the past few days we’ve been rushing to help: presenting the “top tens” of our program team, guides, tips, and advice. Today, however, we direct your attention to the special mBank zone, which can be found at the New Horizons Cinema. That's where we've prepared a selection of titles that best suit different emotional states. Make sure to visit!
