Sunday at the New Horizons
We’re not saying “goodbye,” but “see you later.” Although this is the last day of the on-site portion of the festival, you can still bring the New Horizons to your homes and watch films online until August 6. Before we all go our separate ways, however, there are 46 more screenings awaiting us today, including showings of this year’s winners – The Delinquents (Grand Prix), Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry (Audience Award; caution! The screening of the Blackbird… will start 45 minutes later, at 19:30) and After (special mention). Following the screening of After, there will be an opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the director, Anthony Lapia, and the actress, Natalia Wiszniewska. We also invariably recommend exploring the festival’s Art Scene, and later in the evening, we invite you to bid farewell at the Cinema at the Market Square and join us for a closing dance at the Festival Backyard.

  The Delinquents, dir. Rodrigo Moreno
The Five Devils at the Wroclaw Market Square
We know you’ve been waiting for it: the Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler, performed brilliantly by the heroines of The Five Devils – on the big screen, with powerful speakers, in the heart of Wroclaw. As a grand finale to the Cinema at the Market Square, we invite you to join us for a screening of one of last year’s most popular films from the New Horizons IFF. Singing along is not only allowed but highly encouraged. The event starts at 22:00, and admission is free, subject to seat availability.

Art and the Festival Backyard on the horizon
Those craving non-film art will also find solace at the SiC! gallery of BWA and the BWA Studio gallery, where you can enjoy (appropriately) the exhibitions From Within and Avec Plasir. We also encourage you to visit the Wrocław Old Town Hall, where Kasia Kmita’s exhibition, Contrafactur, awaits. All three exhibitions will be available long after the festival ends, so feel free to visit, explore, and experience!
Later in the evening, be sure to stop by the Festival Backyard and bid a musical farewell to this year’s New Horizons. There will be a chill-out for the rainbow family – a safe space for everyone who identifies with the rainbow community – starting at 20:00 in Surowiec. At 22:00, Igor Miłosz Lewek will be behind the console at Recepcja.
  Coffee, my glorious coffee
And more. A wide variety of savory and sweet snacks await you at the New Horizons Cinema bistro, including those from Dobra Kaloria, as well as NITRO cold brew, Fritz Kola and oodles of other refreshments. The cinema bistro is a perfect place to satisfy your non-film hunger in between screenings.

Cinema at the Market Square is organized thanks to the support of the mBank New Horizons’ patron, the Municipality of Wroclaw.
The Polish films shown at the festival are screened thanks to our partnership with Dr. Irena Eris.
