Sunday at the New Horizons
If it’s a Sunday – it’s best to go fancy. Today we suggest organizing your own red carpet and choosing films from the Visa Gala Screenings section. We also recommend Q&As with filmmakers (as many as 20 are waiting for your questions), the evening screening of EO at the Market Square, as well as exhibitions and a night of fun in the Festival Backyard.

  La Chimera, dir. Alice Rohrwacher
We suspect that every individual has heard the phrase: “Please dress appropriately for the assembly” (we have particularly fond memories of school assemblies). Sunday is the perfect time to be “festive”; so we encourage you to don your best outfits and pay special attention to the section that is our private red carpet on the third day of the mBank New Horizons. As part of the Visa Gala Screenings, today you can watch: Perfect Days, Club Zero, The Pot au Feu, La Chimera and How to Have to Sex. We also invite you to 6 meetings with 20 filmmakers.
EO at the Wroclaw Market Square
The Cinema at the Market Square will screen the brilliant, Oscar-nominated EO, directed by Jerzy Skolimowski. Throughout the film we follow the fate of the titular donkey, who comes under the care of wise and foolish, good and brutal, empathetic and vain people. The screening will begin today at 22:00; admission is free, based on availability.

Unwind | the botanical zone of Kwiaty Kawy and Hyal-Drop
During the festival, the whole body (and especially the eyes) is working at increased speed. So remember to find a moment for some R & R while running between screenings. Most importantly: you don’t have to look far. Drop by the second floor of the New Horizons Cinema at the special botanical zone, created by Kwiaty Kawy and Hyal-Drop.
Bulvary | a chill-out zone, food, a movie, concerts and parking
Not only is it a beautiful space, but you can also benefit (in peace and quiet) from free WiFi, free water (#PijKranówkę 4 ever), and free coffee. All drivers can leave their vehicles in the free underground parking lot – #ParkingBulvary. Come to the BLVR x FTT pop-up, a special Food & Chill-out zone prepared by the festival’s partner, Bulvary, and the Food Think Tank collective (which recommends culinary goodness). We invite you to Księcia Witolda 11 (near the New Horizons Cinema), up to and including July 30. The Chill-out zone will be open daily from 10:00 to 20:00, while the Food zone from 14:00 to 20:00.
The zone will also host two events as part of the Festival Nights:

July 27, 22:00 - a screening of Cold War with a concert by Marcin Masecki, who composed most of the film’s music,
July 29, 22:30 – a concert of Daniel Spaleniak and the SARAPATA duo.

Bulvary is a new cultural venue, located on Księcia Witolda street, just behind the Arsenal, walking towards Wrocław University, in the immediate vicinity of the renovated Mosty Pomorskie (Pomeranian Bridges) and overlooking the historic hydroelectric power plant designed by Max Berg, the architect and creator of the Centennial Hall.

  Avec Plaisir Exhibition
Art and the Festival Backyard on the horizon
We invite you to a walking tour related to the Contrafactur exhibition – starting at 17:00 under the Harlequin sculpture next to the Capitol Musical Theater (Piłsudski Street). Those who crave non-film art will also find solace at the SiC! gallery of BWA and the BWA Studio gallery, where you can enjoy (respectively) the exhibitions From Within and Avec Plasir. We encourage you to also visit IP Studio, where you can experience the new Ambient Room (from 14:00 to 22:00). Later in the evening, be sure to check out the Festival Backyard, where the crews of the Recepcja and Surowiec clubs will invariably be waiting for you with all sorts of delights. On the agenda, among others, a queer fashion show!
  Portuguese heat at club Ciało
The Portuguese sun shines intensely over this year’s festival. A section devoted to the best cinema from the homeland of fado (Focus on Portugal), is included in the program, and a variation on the theme of azulejos adorns the festival’s visual identity. Therefore, there could also be no shortage of music, with echoes of Lisbon and Porto. On the first Sunday of the New Horizons we invite you to club Ciało, where you will be hosted by the defining contemporary techno sounds from Portugal by music producer and DJ Temudo, soft – resident of NADA Temple in Lisbon, as well as daisy cutter, Syrius & Fideshi (part of the Klimat collective), Pysh and Tuptash. Admission is free with a pass, accreditation or festival ticket (from on-site shows only). We start at 21:00.
  Coffee, my glorious coffee
And more. A wide variety of savory and sweet snacks await you at the New Horizons Cinema bistro, including those from Dobra Kaloria, as well as NITRO cold brew, Fritz Kola and oodles of other refreshments. The cinema bistro is a perfect place to satisfy your non-film hunger in between screenings.
Snap a photo in the festival photo booth | mBank
New Horizons, smile! Over the first weekend of the festival, you will have the opportunity of capturing your memories in film in a photo booth arranged by mBank. Located between the first and second floors of the New Horizons Cinema, Monday through Friday, from noon till 20:00. Using the photo booth is free of charge.

The Polish films shown at the festival are screened thanks to our partnership with Dr. Irena Eris.
