Galway African Film Festival presents:
An African view on Africa - Films from African directors
Highlights include Viva Riva, an award winning Congolese drama, two Egyptian Films about the Arab Spring 2011 and an Ethiopian / UK co-production, Town of Runners.

From the 25th to the 27th of May 2012 the Galway One World Centre welcomes everyone to the Galway African Film Festival  (GAFF) 2012. The 5th edition of the annual Festival will take place in Nuns Island Arts Theatre in Galway and presents a programme of current feature films and documentaries from various countries in Africa.

Amongst others, this year’s festival features two documentaries from Egypt about the Arab Spring 2011. The kick-off will be the docu-drama All I wanna do from Morocco and as an exiting Saturday late evening movie, the award-winning drama about a Congolese small time hustler Viva Riva will be shown. 

As a special treat all movies shown before 6pm are free, all others are 5 Euro.

The event is one of only two African Film Festivals in Ireland and is organised by the Galway One World Centre in conjunction with the Galway Film Society and the Huston School of Film & Digital Media.
